At Team Access, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to participate. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we remove barriers to access so individuals with disabilities can take part in sports, recreation, and community activities.

Together with El Tour de Tucson and Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports, we’re helping ensure accessibility is planned from the start so adaptive athletes, veterans, guide riders, and their families can fully participate.

Whether you ride a handcycle, trike, tandem, recumbent, standard bicycle, or another adaptive cycle, 1 you’ll find a welcoming team committed to helping you get to the starting line—and across the finish line.

El Tour de Tucson has always been about more than miles—it’s about community. Team Access builds on that tradition by bringing adaptive athletes together with the organizations, sponsors, and partners who make greater access possible. What begins on the streets of Tucson continues long after the finish line.

A note about choosing your adaptive category when registering:

When registering, select the category that best matches the adaptive cycle you will be riding during El Tour.

• Adaptive Handcycle
  Select this category if you ride a handcycle that is powered primarily by your arms. This includes both recumbent and kneeling/sitting handcycles.
• Adaptive Cycling
  Select this category if you ride a standard two-wheeled bicycle and have a physical disability, limb difference, neurological condition, or other impairment that affects cycling but does not require a handcycle, tricycle, or tandem.
• Adaptive Tricycle
  Select this category if you ride an adaptive three-wheeled cycle because a traditional bicycle does not provide the balance or stability you need.
• Adaptive Tandem
  Select this category if you are a rider with a visual impairment participating on a tandem bicycle with a sighted pilot.
