Tour de France Champion, Olympic Gold Medalists and Legends Headline El Tour de Tucson Prologue

The annual El Tour de Tucson Prologue is as star-studded as ever with some of the best and greatest cyclists in the history of cycling.

As many as 10 well-accomplished cyclists will be in Tucson to help guide cyclists for five days leading up to El Tour on Nov. 22, 2025.

Enrolled cyclists will learn from and ride with some of cycling’s elite: professional Grand Tour Riders, Olympic medalists, world champions and legends. In essence, cyclists will prepare for El Tour with the pros.

“We’ve held the Prologue a few years now and this is by far the best lineup we’ve put together,” said TJ Juskiewicz, El Tour executive director. “The cyclists come to enjoy Tucson weather and to be part of one of the best rides in the United States all the while being able to mentor or inspire other cyclists for El Tour. It’s one of the highlights of our big ride.”

The lineup includes:

Sir Bradley Wiggins, Tour de France Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist

Bob Roll, professional cyclist, author, and television sports commentator.

George Hincapie, professional cyclist and five-time Olympian.

Kristin Armstrong, former professional cyclist and three-time Olympic Gold Medalist.

Christian Vande Velde, Olympian and former professional cyclist turned cycling analyst.

Chloé Dygert, professional cyclist and Gold Medalist at Olympic Games.

Bobby Julich, professional cyclist & third place in Tour de France, Olympic Medalist.

Jens Voigt, professional cyclist turned cycling broadcaster.

Leanda Cave, 4-time world champion triathlete.

“I’m excited to be coming back,” said Hincapie. “El Tour de Tucson is one of my favorite events of the year.”

It is for all of them.

“Come ride with us in Tucson in November,” said Sir Bradley Wiggins. “It’s been recognized as one of top cycling events in America by USA Today. Come join me and 10,000 other cyclists in the event. It’s not just a ride but it’s helped raise $130 million for charities. See you there.”

The Prologue goes from Nov. 19-23 (Wednesday through Sunday) at the El Tour Host Hotel at the Start/Finish Line at the DoubleTree Downtown Tucson Convention Center.
