You’ll see several great people at El Tour de Zona in southern Arizona this weekend.…
Next stop Tombstone; for a day of browsing, buying and biking
Jimmy Green is excited to see a few hundred cyclists visit Tombstone today (Sunday). It’s good for business, and, well Tombstone to have so many roam around and enjoy the shops.
It also means El Tour de Zona will be back for a fifth year on Sunday, culminating a three-day cycling weekend.

Green owns Spirit of the West Ranch Gallery and is hopeful the cyclists go by and say hello.
Other merchants are too.
“If they come in great but all this (good will) is to show support for the event from Tombstone,” Green said. ‘Most people are for the event”
Next year, it’s likely there will be an aid station for the cyclists as they start at homebase Sierra Vista and travel to Tombstone for the morning/early afternoon.
Green was so enthusiastic about Zona returning he created some art to help promote it.
In years past, some cyclists wouldn’t buy good because it was difficult to take back to their home base. Now, merchants have set up a station at the Welcome Station and Chamber of Commerce where if someone wants to buy something, and doesn’t have someone to transport it, it’ll get tagged and be brought over at the end of the day.
