Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter in El Tour

We love an organization that uses cycling to raise funds as a platform. That’s the case with The Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ. They do it all over the country and have included El Tour de Tucson for the Nov. 23 ride.

The Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter will be involved in association with The Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ.

The Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ is a cycling event to directly impact the pace and momentum behind the fight to end Alzheimer’s. Inspired by science and driven by a determination to end this disease, participants in Ride to End ALZ raise funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.

Ride to End ALZ is a fully supported event for a range of riders, whether you’re a novice cyclist, weekend warrior or avid enthusiast.

You’re not in this challenge alone — each rider will receive support from the Ride to End Alz staff and volunteer leadership committee. We are committed to providing fundraising and training support from registration to the day of Ride. Event day, our dedicated volunteers and crew will push you toward the finish line! You can do this!

Riders for the in-person events are required to make a registration donation to get started and agree to raise the fundraising minimum in order to participate. The challenge events and spoke series do not have a registration donation and fundraising is optional. Volunteers are not required to fundraise.

A ride to fuel research

As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s disease research, the Alzheimer’s Association is setting the pace of the field with innovation and investment — and you’re setting the pace with each pedal stroke.

Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. But you can help change that. The funds you raise through Ride to End ALZ directly impact the Association’s ability to accelerate science toward methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
