Cooper Center for Environmental Learning one with nature and El Tour
The Cooper Center for Environmental Learning is back joining us again this year at El Tour!
The Cooper Center was created to connect children and learners of all ages with the Sonoran Desert through immersive, education-based, outdoor adventures.
They build deep relationships with nature in a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostering a love and understanding of the natural world. By acknowledging the land they teach on has powerful cultural and personal significance to many.

Cooper Center’s site is situated on 10 acres of pristine Sonoran desert land, seven miles west of downtown Tucson.
According to their website they believe we owe a debt of gratitude to the ancestral ecological knowledge, stewardship, and care of the land by the Hohokam, Tohono O’odham, and Pascua Yaqui, which allows us to continue to cherish, respect, and learn about our Sonoran Desert today.
We are delighted to have them joining our list of partners once again! To learn more about The Cooper Center go here: https://coopercenter.arizona.edu/
