Oro Valley Mountain Bike Club joins El Tour to help develop youth through the sport
We are so excited to have The Oro Valley Interscholastic Mountain Bike Club (OVMTB) joining El Tour de Tucson for this year’s ride. OVMTB is an inclusive ACA club, focusing on the development of young men and women via the sport of mountain bike racing.
They use mountain biking to bring kids together, enabling them to grow confidence, environmental awareness, fitness, and friendship. OVMTB represents high schools in Oro Valley and Marana (including but not limited to) Canyon del Oro, Ironwood Ridge, Marana, Mountain View, BASIS Oro Valley, and Pusch Ridge, including home-school students.
It is really that simple. They use mountain biking to bring kids together, enabling them to grow confidence, environmental awareness, fitness, and friendship.
OVMTB has a history of bringing students together from many schools in the northern part of Tucson both from high school and the associated middle schools. Each student represents each of their schools.
