Subaru’s El Tour Pace Car once again a cool ride that will be on the road beyond race day

Every year El Tour Pace Car Sponsor Tucson Subaru knocks it out of the park with its signature car. This year is no different. It’s cool – and always is – but they always outdo themselves.

Yes, and we really love working on it,” Tucson Subaru said. “Every year it gets a little tougher to top the previous design, but that challenge keeps us creative. We work with a local large format printer and designer who have helped us design the car over the past few years.”

Be on the look out for this year’s Pace Car – how can you miss it?

This year, the car will focus heavily on Youth On Their Own and celebrate their upcoming 40th anniversary. The whole vibe leans into a fun comic book and retro style. Last year it was more “Saved By the Bell.”

Once again, Youth on their Own will be the beneficiary of the car.

“We’re proud to share that we will once again gift the 2025 El Tour de Tucson pace car to Youth On Their Own,” Tucson Subaru said. “They’ll be able to use it throughout 2026 for everything from student support and supply deliveries to outreach and events. It’s another way for us to go beyond writing a check and actually give them a resource they can use every day.”

When they first selected Youth On Their Own as our Subaru Share the Love Event hometown charity in 2014, we set a long term goal to reach a total of one million dollars in donations.

They are getting there – and are “very close.”

Since 2014, Tucson Subaru has donated $902,926.17 to YOTO through the Subaru Share the Love Event. That support has helped hundreds of local youth experiencing homelessness stay in school, meet their basic needs and work toward graduation.

They hope to cross that million-dollar milestone this year.

During the Share the Love Event (November 20 – January 2nd), when customers purchase or lease a new Subaru or bring their vehicle in for routine service and select Youth On Their Own as their charity, up to $600 is donated. Every dollar still goes straight toward helping students graduate. YOTO provides monthly financial stipends, essential items and one on one guidance so that youth experiencing homelessness have the support they need to stay in school and build a better future.

That’s what makes Subaru special in the community. They give back – and that’s important.

“Supporting this community is one of our top priorities,” Tucson Subaru said. “We want Tucson Subaru to be a place that does more than sell or service cars. We want to show up for the people who live here.”

The number of nonprofits they help shifts a little each year because we try to focus on where the need is greatest. Some of the organizations they consistently support are Youth On Their Own, Pima Animal Care Center, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, Blood Cancer United, AdoptAClassroom with Cholla High School, The Salvation Army and Cody’s Friends.

“We are always open to growing our partnerships and finding new ways to help,” Tucson Subaru said. “Tucson is our home and we want to make it better wherever we can.”

And they do – definitely do!
