The Homing Project joins El Tour for first time; hoping to raise money for homeless
Dedicated to housing the homeless with dignity and respect, The Homing Project is partnering for its first year with El Tour!
The mission is to provide immediate residence and onsite or referral services to those who are unhoused in order to bridge the current economic and social gaps separating them from safe and dignified living. Across the country a growing number of cities have created villages of small prefab houses to rapidly house individuals and families without housing.

By clustering homeless people with conditions such as mental illness and addiction, appropriate services can be efficiently provided for these conditions as well as job training and placement, and this goes along with the rapid housing.
The village that is built is made up of micro-homes on gated property with 24-hour security, and the community serves tenants who are younger than 25 or older than 50. Each mini home has heating, cooling, excellent insulation, 1-2 beds in single units, windows, a self-contained solar energy system, and a secure lock.
Going along with the mini homes, private showers, a communal kitchen, laundry room, and community areas will enable a stable and safe transition for individuals and small families. Services like medical, dental, mental health, and substance abuse counseling will be made available by Catalytic Health Partners, along with employment assistance for residents.
