United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire joins El Tour

With a mission to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities El Tour is honored to announce the United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) will be joining us for the 43rd annual race.

UCPIE believes in community first, by building community partners and creating inclusion opportunities to create an environment that facilitates independence and empowerment for the individuals it serves.

Community based services are provided in home respite care, skill builders and after school/ summer programs, adaptive sports, and resource and referral services by appointment over the phone and on social media.

UCPIE offers many programs for families such as Team Freedom with their Adaptive Bike Program that gives adaptive bikes to individuals with mobility diseases such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and other disabilities. Each adaptive bike is custom made to the level of support needed by each individual.

Since 2012 UCPIE has presented over 112 special needs children and adults with their own adaptive bikes that help recipients meet their physical therapy goals as well as allow children and adults to join in on the fun with their families at the park, neighborhood and many special events.
