We Ride 4: ‘giving kids and others a chance to experience a healthier lifestyle’ through cycling
We Ride 4 loves its new and returning members. They are dedicated and determined to make their cause a great one.
They band together to make life easier for those in Denver and Tucson.
They ride for a reason or two … and more.
“Whether it be for our physical health, carbon-free transportation, the freedom and independence we feel, our mental well-being, the beautiful views we get to experience, or a combination of any of the above, we all have a reason that we love to ride,” they say.
They may ride for different reasons, but they have a shared goal of riding together.
Their mission is to “give more kids and individuals who otherwise may not be able to ride a chance to experience healthier lifestyles by engaging them in outdoor fun.”
They have activities and events which they organize, such as weekly rides, members-only gravel and road events, social gatherings, our annual fundraiser, The Big Event, and organizing fundraising teams for larger events.
They fund raise, getting help through donations, sponsorships, memberships, clothing sales, and THE BIG EVENT. These funds are then utilized to provide bikes and cycling opportunities and to other organizations that provide programs to support our mission.
Donations in Denver include Front Rangers Cycling Club, Cycling Without Age Littleton, Cottonwood Institute, World Bicycle Relief, Lucky to Ride, Bike MS, and HopeCycle, Donations made in Tucson include Pueblo High School Road Warriors, Feed My Starving Children, El Tour Bikes for Change, Gro Girl Gro, and el Grupo.
They also have awareness campaigns which help raise awareness about their cause and the various organizations they support through social media campaigns and partnerships with other organizations.
Additionally, they have a community engagement by collaborating with local businesses, schools, and other non-profits to amplify their impact and reach.
They have support networks which helps cyclists of all ages who unite together to bring outdoor, healthier activities to more individuals. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced rider, our diverse membership offers camaraderie and support as we ride together and socialize, ultimately enriching our wider community.
It helps with advocacy as it helps disadvantaged youth and other individuals who may not have the chance to experience outdoor activities. They do so through our various fundraising, volunteer, and donation campaigns, increasing the amount of activities available for these individuals.
It has an impact by sharing success stories from those who have benefited from their programs and initiatives.
It has volunteer opportunities for members of their communities to get involved to support their mission. Various volunteer roles may include but are not limited to building and fixing bikes, leading rides for the kids and providing event support.
What’s very obvious, is they have great local support via their extensive network of annual members, sponsors, and partners. This support system is integral to the success of our nonprofit.
