Where would El Tour de Tucson be without our Aid Stations? We don’t want to…
Pima Foundation and PCC all about Tucson community; will be part of El Tour in November
Pima Community College and the Pima Foundation is all about community and its willingness to engage and be a part of it.
It’s a reason why the Pima Foundation will be part of the 41st El Tour de Tucson on Nov. 23 as a non-profit partner.
Members of the college and the staff will be part of the cycling events and the 5K Run. They’ve set a fundraising goal of $5,000, which will support Pima Community College through non-institutional scholarships, enhanced academic programs, campus facilities, and beyond.
“I care about the work that the foundation is doing for the College,” said Saby Andino, Pima Foundation Director of Operations. “I see firsthand how the contributions transform lives.”
Missy Blair sees it too, given she gets on her bike and rides to help raise money for Pima.
“Once a year, I like to use my cycling to raise funds for a cause important to me. This year I am happy and honored to raise funds for the Pima Foundation because of the work they do to improve our community members’ lives,” said Blair, Pima Community College Academic Director/CDL examiner/Traffic Survival School instructor/former Certified MSF ride coach. “The Foundation has had proven success in building relationships which have resulted in $347,000 granted to Pima Community College students’ education. That’s important work and I’m happy to support it by riding my bike for a couple hours and pestering my network for donations.”
PCC and the Pima Foundation invites anyone and everyone to join their team, and each participant can purchase a custom jersey. Let’s ride together for a great cause.
For over 40 years, Pima Foundation has secured and managed philanthropic contributions—expanding access to education at Pima Community College. We are committed to supporting the students, faculty and programs that are important to our region.
