TMC Health is committed to caring for the Tucson community; once again a part of El Tour
Tucson Medical Center has been a loyal sponsor of El Tour for years.
Less than a decade ago, TMC was the title sponsor, so we know they care about health,
wellness and fitness.
More recently, they’ve been great conduits for some great murals around the Tucson
area, including its campus. They’ve sponsored another one, just completed by artist
Joe Pagac.
“Joe Pagac captures the whimsical western spirit and exhilarating fun of riding bikes
through the southern Arizona desert,” said Julia Strange, Vice President of External
Affairs & Brand at TMC Health. “Working with local artists like Joe Pagac is a rewarding
endeavor for a community-based hospital system committed to community health.”
Community health and, well, the community overall.
“Our community health driven mission means providing opportunities for our residents
to work and play and be healthy,” Strange said.
They also practice what they preach. Once again, TMC will have an ‘unofficial team” as
part of the El Tour.
They are out and about sporting TMC t-shirts (when running) and TMC kits (when
cycling). They do several hundred events each year, from large scale events like El
Tour, community races and walks, to supporting free bike helmets and swimming
lessons. TMC Health’s commitment to community health is year-round.
TMC Health is committed to caring for the Tucson community. Not only in the four walls
of the hospital, but in fun and engaging events and activities. The El Tour De Tucson is
a fun event for our community and serves as a gateway for people to visit our city and
the beautiful Sonoran desert.
The mural is at 1604 S. Sixth Ave.
