El Tour invited to be part of prestigious World Cycling Sustainable Event
El Tour de Tucson is now part of the World Cycling Sustainable Events project, after recently being invited to participate in a big event in Italy.
In total, this project is dedicated to promoting sustainable mobility currently includes six major events spanning four continents in the name of the environment, to foster shared responsibility in protecting the planet.

El Tour has now joined five other big events throughout the word, including Cycling Shimanami (Japan), TD Five Boro Bike Tour (New York), the Cape Town Cycle Tour and the RBC GranFondo (Vancouver).
El Tour Executive Director TJ Juskiewicz spoke at the event recently.
“It is an honor for El Tour de Tucson to join these other prestigious tours worldwide in promoting sustainable cycling events,” Juskiewicz said. “We appreciate our friends in Italy that invited us to join events that care about the environment in additional to hosting world-class cycling events.”

World Cycling Sustainable Events is an initiative for the promotion and development of environmental sustainability, launched by Prosecco Cycling with the goal of encouraging sustainable mobility through the use of bicycles as a means of transportation and identifying tools to promote the creation of sporting events, bike routes, and bike paths focused on environmental protection and sustainability.
