El Tour, Run Tucson collaborate for 5k Run for El Tour Ride Day, Nov. 18, 2023

El Tour de Tucson and Run Tucson, two of Southern Arizona’s titans for fitness and fun, have teamed up to hold an event on El Tour Ride Day on Nov. 18, 2023.

It will be the El Tour de Tucson 5K, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Tucson Convention Center. For a number of years, El Tour had a run that coincided with the ride. Now, it returns under the guidance of Run Tucson.

“I’m so excited to be working with El Tour to bring bicyclists and runners together in downtown Tucson,” said Randy Accetta, Run Tucson founder. “What a great day to be out there. Tucson and Pima County have been designated as an RRCA Runner-Friendly Community, and I’m glad we are able to work with our great cycling community to bring people to Tucson.”

For years, Run Tucson has made “Tucson better through running.” Last month, El Tour was named the USA Today’s best road cycling event of 2023.

“Who better than to collaborate with than Randy and Run Tucson to have a morning and day of running and cycling in November?” said TJ Juskiewicz, El Tour’s executive director. “They fit in with our mission of health, wellness and charity. It should be a great day of running and cycling in Tucson on November 18th.”
