What a day it was at the annual El Tour Loop de Loop event. Hundreds…
While the pandemic might have postponed the riding of the traditional November El Tour de Tucson, that weekend will be full of virtual opportunities. Both Saturday and Sunday will be full of free virtual ride opportunities!
On Saturday, November 21st, we encourage you to get out and ride in the Tucson area or wherever you might be. This was the original El Tour de Tucson scheduled date and we want you to don your best El Tour jersey and get out and ride. Please remember to ride safe and distance appropriately. We will post several suggested riding routes and please do not attempt to ride the real El Tour course as bicycles are prohibited on Aviation Highway.
On Sunday, November 22nd, we encourage riders from all over the world to join Pro Cycling Team TWENTY 20 as they return to lead Virtual El Tour de Tucson on Zwift. Amanda Coker, (Ultra-Endurance World Record Holder) will return as the ride leader and her teammates Natalia Franco (Colombian National Team) and Shayna Powless (Team Twenty20) will return to sweep. Our special guest rider will be 3-time Olympic Champion and Team Twenty20 director Kristin Armstrong. She is the most decorated U.S. women’s cyclist of all time and the best time-trialist in sports history.
