Where would El Tour de Tucson be without our Aid Stations? We don’t want to…
SynCardia Systems joins El Tour as a Silver Sponsor
At El Tour de Tucson, we know cyclists have the heart and passion to get on a bike and ride, whether it be 3, 32, 62 or 102 miles.
We love them for it. In fact, more than 260,000 cyclists have ridden in El Tour events in the nearly 40 years of its existence.
We love their hearts and passion. As does, SynCardia Systems, LLC, a Tucson-based company founded in 2001 and is now a Silver Sponsor.
They love hearts and want to make sure everyone stays heart healthy.
It’s mission is to: “give end-stage heart failure patients the priceless gift of more time. More time with their families and friends, more time outside the hospital enjoying life and more time to receive a heart transplant.”
Syncardia officials are glad to part of El Tour, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Nov. 18.
“We are part of the community,” said Lucia Junco, SynCardia’s Marketing and Communications Supervisor. “And we want to be part of the great events in the Tucson community. It’s a great sporting event and it helps us bring some awareness to being healthy.
“We work with heart disease, and we love supporting these types of events. It helps us greatly with that awareness.”
SynCardia works with transplant hospitals and heart failure programs in more than 20 countries, helping to create “better outcomes for critically ill adults and adolescents whose best chance of survival is total heart replacement. When a donor heart isn’t available, SynCardia provides a new temporary heart without the wait for patients at risk of dying or becoming too sick to transplant.”
We welcome you to the El Tour family as a great sponsor.
